Kim’s Family Brag Book – Part 2

More Eye Candy for YOU! This is part 2 of Kim’s Family Brag Book. Again, it was absolutely a pleasure designing this beautiful album! Kim, I hope you and your family cherish the brag book for years to come!

Also, I had to include a few detailed shots of how awesome the texture is of these fabulous Basically Bare album. With the kraft envelopes, I was able to add in the extra photos that were not on a page. I simply hole-punched the photo and tied a ribbon on it. This made it look like a little tag that you could pull out of each envelope. Most pages I covered with patterned paper, but I occassionally let the fun brown, kraft paper shine through.

PS – We are having a sale on Etsy - 10% off this week only! (Oh, and the last few 2012 calendars are still just $30 – score!!)

Embellish is on Charity Wings

Eeekkk… I feel so special to share a tutorial on the Charity Wings blog with you! Best of all, there’s step by step instructions to create not (1)… not (2)… but (3) DIY Projects! And… a GIVEAWAY! Be sure to visit the Charity Wings blog and leave a comment to win a DIY Kit & DIY Project from Embellish Creative Designs.

I was introduced to Charity Wings (formerly Scrapbook Royalty) several years ago when I participated in the Survivor Crop, a charity event to raise money the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Then, I’ve learned more about their work when I joined the team to provide live streaming video from CHA Chicago. I had a blast with the Charity Wings girls!  The Charity Wings mission is to help artists and crafters fundraise for their favorite charities. How cool is that? Be sure to check out what they are all about and how you can get involved! Their exciting work is made possible by great volunteers and supporters in the crafting community.

Here is a sneak peek of what you will see over on Charity Wings! Enjoy!

30 Minutes OR LESS – Adorable Dry Erase Message Boards

Sooooo… I’ll admit it. I’m addicted to Pinterest. Anyone else in love with Pinterest, too? I love easy, DIY projects. I’m kind of a 30-minute-or-less crafty girl. Some of the most elaborate, beautiful projects definitely inspire me, but I just don’t have the patience. I’m a get-it-done kind of girl. :) That’s why this project was PERFECT!

How cute is this?

Step #1 – Pick out photo frames. Make sure they are smaller than 12×12. My two cents – pick cheap ones. Check out the Aaron Brothers 5 cent sale!

Step #2 – Pick out scrapbook paper. Best of all, you only need 4 sheets!

Step #3 – Pick out dry erase markers in various colors.

Step 1 + 2 + 3 = Super cute message board to include fun notes in your house!! EASY!

Here are a few snapshots of the four I put together… in maybe 15 minutes!
