30 Minutes OR LESS – Adorable Dry Erase Message Boards

Sooooo… I’ll admit it. I’m addicted to Pinterest. Anyone else in love with Pinterest, too? I love easy, DIY projects. I’m kind of a 30-minute-or-less crafty girl. Some of the most elaborate, beautiful projects definitely inspire me, but I just don’t have the patience. I’m a get-it-done kind of girl. That’s why this project was PERFECT!

How cute is this?

Step #1 – Pick out photo frames. Make sure they are smaller than 12×12. My two cents – pick cheap ones. Check out the Aaron Brothers 5 cent sale!

Step #2 – Pick out scrapbook paper. Best of all, you only need 4 sheets!

Step #3 – Pick out dry erase markers in various colors.

Step 1 + 2 + 3 = Super cute message board to include fun notes in your house!! EASY!

Vegas 2011

I know the blog has seen a lot of DIY Kit action lately, so I thought I’d switch it up to include a fun, personal post! Here are a few snapshots from our recent trip to Las Vegas! We had such a blast!

Here’s Jeremy and I at the chandelier bar in the Cosmopolitan. This casino is absolutely gorgeous. This is on the top floor of the chandelier bar… We made stops at each floor to taste test their fancy drinks.

Jacob and I enjoyed a “shmore” drink complete with roasted marshmellows on the top! Delicious!

One of the highlights of the trip was seeing the show Blue Man Group. Jeremy had been dying to see this show for ages. It was definitely a crazy show — really entertaining!

We took a few photos with the guys in the show after it was over.

In the dark

You most likely heard about the {power outage 2011} in San Diego county! It was quite exciting… from heading down 9 floors of stairs in darkness to driving home without street lights working to gathering candles and flashlights, it was a pretty eventful Thursday afternoon for most of us in Southern California, Arizona and Mexico!

Despite the fact that we realized that we were pretty unprepared if there was a serious emergency… (Sidenote — “emergency kit” is added to the to-do list) we had a ton of fun! Jeremy and I headed over to my parents house to enjoy margaritas and BBQ outside with the whole fam! Then, we had a serious candlelight game of Scrabble with Jacob and Ashley. It was great to have an evening completely technology-free and an excuse to step away from the never-ending to-do list of tasks. Pretty much everything was “shut down” so we enjoyed a warm summer night filled with friends and family free of thoughts about what “I should be doing…” Loved it!
