Yum. Yum. Yum. I can’t help but post all the yummy goodies we tasted at the bachelorette party! I have one special one of the fancy shmancy cake that I made, but I’ll save that for a separate post! Get ready to get hungry. Check these out!
To start, I conducted my second attempt of cake pops. They were dramatically better than the first go-around, but still a little lumpy around the edges. When I perfect it, I will be sure to post my recipe and all my how-to tips!
Check out these adorable jello shot lemons! Lauren’s BFF, Elizabeth, made these! They were delicious and so fun!
Awww… cute bride-to-be with a lemon shot!

Sticking with the bachelorette party / wedding theme for the week, here’s the cute little goody bags that I put together for Lauren’s bachelorette party. They were super simple, but pretty fun. They were especially stylin’ when displayed together. All you need is a colored bag, a black marker, a little ribbon and bubbly handwriting! There’s nothing to it! These bags would be super cute for birthday parties, too.

Since my adorable little sister got HITCHED on Saturday, I thought I’d stick with the wedding theme and show you a few fun wedding creations by Embellish this week!
This is a “date night” idea mini album that I made for Lauren’s bachelorette party. Each girl wrote a date night idea on each page — the ideas ranged from romantic to sweet to steamy to low-cost to fancy shmancy! It was a fun little gift to surprise Lauren on her “last fling before the ring”. We also each brought some panties and wrapped them up as little flowers and put them in a vintage muffin tray. So cute!
PS – How cute are their engagement photos? Emily Faulknor Photography is amazing! Can’t wait to see their wedding photos!!!

Embellish is thrilled to announce that we will be featured at the Moms In Business Unite Conference in San Diego, CA on August 3! The conference hosts an Inventor Showcase for the Best New Product or Service designed by women. Embellish is a finalist! Not only will we have a booth at the conference to show off Embellish, but we also get the opportunity to pitch our product to Wendy Robbins from TLC’s Homemade Millionaire! Here’s the press release about the 2011 Inventor Showcase Participants! Oh, we have to give a shout out to one of the other finalists, Jackie Schell with Money MindEd! Good luck! Looking forward to the conference in August!
Here’s a little bit of info about the conference:

I was inspired by this idea by design team member Valerie Allen at Elle’s Studio awhile back and thought I would try it out! I’m always looking for fun, creative ways to display my projects and this was the perfect fit!
First, I bought an unpainted, plain frame from Michaels. It didn’t have glass or a matting – just the frame! I covered the floor with newspaper so I didn’t make a huge mess.
I then used some wire cutters to cut hardware cloth to perfectly fit the frame. Be careful on this part — the wire is pretty sharp!
This is a close up of the hardware cloth.
Then, spraypaint the frame any color that you’d like. I kept it simple and went with white.
The last step is attaching the wire to the back of the frame. I used small tacks from the harware store to secure the wire teo the backside of the frame. To avoid scratching up anything with the wire on the backside of the frame, I covered it with fun duct tape as a finishing touch.
Here’s the final product! Super cute and easy DIY Project! Enjoy!

It seems like this time of year is full of weddings! On Saturday I had a super fun time reconnecting with some of my college friends and celebrating the wedding of Darcy Perez… now Darcy Duffy. It was beautiful and a ton of fun! I’ve been helping my sister with some of her wedding planning and she is getting married in less than two weeks! Crazy! And, I just finished a wedding album for my good friend Jennifer and her husband, Josh! It is definitely wedding season!! Here are a few snapshots of Jen and Josh’s wedding album!
Check back tomorrow for a few more wedding-related posts!!
